The swamp is awake the whole way through — beds, rims and hats that simply weren't on the device before. Warm under the water at speaking pace, and in the recede, an answer: the mud won't let it cool.
The bar-16 drop lands as one gesture — twelve unmutes inside five milliseconds. Hats breathe on a slow sine. Still warm is a second and change now; the mold verse holds the shape behind it.
Call-and-answer at section scale — four bars of circle, four bars of bare ground, breathing. Circle till the ground sings, clipped and ceremonial, twice. Toms drift against the hats, out of phase.
The intro sits on the grid at last — the pads that fought the tempo are frozen into pure held tones, and the kick dropouts land on the barline they were written for. In the valley, a couplet: closest now still falling / the words arrive after the light.
The whole first half exists again. The outro no longer loops its word every bar; the mold still holds the shape arrives like a settling, every other pass, over the room that opened the record.
The record found itself over four passes. v3's two thin tracks were rendered from a half-wiped device; v2 was the first arrangement rebuilt for scarcity; v1 was the first attempt.
